The Swedish Club Yabby Party
Svenska Klubbens Kräftskiva
Every year The Swedish Club Sydney holds a traditional Swedish Yabby Party / Kräftskiva. It's a typical Swedish event with home cooked yabbies consumed with snaps and traditional singing. After the feast we all hit the floor for our dance moves.
This event is normally held in April/May when Australian yabbies are readily available. In recent years this party has been held at the Dutch Club at Grattan Crescent 1, Frenchs Forest, NSW.
There are yabbies to be eaten with snaps wearing bibs and hats in the traditional Swedish manner. The menu for this event normally is:
- Welcome drink
- Two Snaps
- Bavarian bread as well as Swedish crisp bread together with tasty cheeses
- Coffee/tea and Swedish ginger snaps
- Enjoy dancing to your favourite music
- Drinks are available for purchase from the club bar, no BYO.
Look out for the invite and we are looking forward to seeing you there!
